Terms and Conditions

1. Booking and Payment
   • Booking Requirements: Customers must make reservations at least 48 hours in advance.
   • Payment Methods: Major credit and debit cards are accepted.
2. Pick-Up and Drop-Off
   • Pick-Up Locations: Vehicles can be collected from designated locations, with details provided upon booking confirmation.
   • Return Time: Vehicles must be returned on time at the end of the rental period.
3. Driving Requirements
   • Age Limit: Renters must be at least 26 years old plus and hold a valid driver’s license.
   • Driver’s License: An internationally recognized valid driver’s license is required.
4. Insurance and Liability
   • Insurance Coverage: All rental vehicles include basic insurance.
   • Liability Waiver: Customers may opt to purchase additional liability waivers to reduce out-of-pocket expenses.
5. Cancellation Policy
   • Free Cancellation: Cancellations made at least 48 hours before pick-up are eligible for a full refund.
   • Cancellation Fees: Cancellations made within 24 hours of pick-up will incur a fee equal to 50% of the rental cost.
6. Vehicle Use
   • Prohibited Activities: Vehicles may not be used for illegal activities, off-road driving, or participation in racing or other high-risk activities.
   • Vehicle Damage: Customers are responsible for any damage to the vehicle during the rental period.
7. Fuel Policy
   • Full Tank Return: Vehicles are provided with a full tank of petrol and must be returned with a full tank. Failure to do so will result in a refuelling charge plus an administrative fee.
8. Cleanliness Maintenance
   • Clean Vehicle: Vehicles are provided in a clean and well-maintained condition. Customers are expected to return the vehicle in a similar state. Excessive dirt or stains may incur additional cleaning fees.
9. Bond Policy
   • Bond Requirement: A refundable bond (security deposit) is required at the time of vehicle collection. The bond amount will be held on the renter’s credit or debit card.
   • Bond Coverage: The bond covers potential damages, cleaning fees, fuel charges, and any unpaid fines during the rental period.
   • Bond Refund: The bond will be refunded in full within 3–5 business days after the vehicle is returned, provided there are no additional charges. Refund processing times may vary depending on the customer’s bank.
   • Bond Forfeiture: Part or all of the bond may be withheld if:
     1. The vehicle is returned late or excessively dirty.
     2. The fuel tank is not refilled.
     3. Any damages, fines, or violations are incurred during the rental period.
10. Traffic Violations and Fines
    • Traffic Offenses: Customers are liable for any traffic violations and associated fines incurred during the rental period.
11. Customer Responsibilities
    • Vehicle Safekeeping: Customers must safeguard the vehicle keys and documents to prevent loss or theft.
    • Accident Reporting: In case of an accident, customers must immediately notify local authorities and TripWise Travel.
